• Marian University exists to provide an education that profoundly transforms lives, society, and the world through a liberal arts tradition. The Marian University School of Nursing has been providing students with a baccalaureate education since 1977. In 1993, the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program was introduced on campus for students with bachelors degrees outside of nursing. In response to a growing demand for nurses throughout the country, Marian University launched the Accelerated Online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program in 2009. Both degree programs are offered through the Marian University School of Nursing and support the Franciscan values of dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation and responsible stewardship. Our ABSN program is offered with St.Vincent Health, a 20-hospital system based in Indianapolis and identified as one of the 15 best health systems in the nation. St.Vincent is among a small percentage of U.S. hospitals that bear a Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the ultimate credential for high-quality nursing.Marian is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
