!Melk Landscape Architecture & Urban Design

Description

• !melk is an award-winning urban design and landscape architecture practice dedicated to large-scale urban and landscape interventions as well as public spaces and parks. Established in 2010 by Jerry van Eyck, we draw from an extensive international portfolio encompassing over 20 years of conceptualizing, developing, and realizing projects in the urban context. In a short span of time, !melk has left its signature in many places around the globe. Our methodology combines a blend of fantasy, reality, and common sense that produces designs which are sustainable and fully engage their communities. In creating smart and inspiring cities of the future we follow two simple guiding principles; every social, political, and economic challenge is in fact a creative opportunity, and there is no one-size-fits-all formula for the design of a place. Rather, it is our inherent optimism and our belief in the inherent potential of the unique qualities of each project site that enables us to conceive the best solution for a particular design challenge. The skills that truly set us apart, and which are key to our creative approach, are: focused research, the use of advanced technologies, imagination, attention to detail, quality, profitability, and most important: courage. We distinguish ourselves by our ability to DREAM BIG at !melk we know how to conceive a good idea and deliver it into reality.!melk is certified as a Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE).
