- GeoStrata was established in 1999 by Mr. Hiram Alba, P.E., P.G., the founding principal. The company has been actively performing services since 2001. GeoStrata is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (Minority owned) as well as an 8a participant in the U.S. SBA program. Geotechnical Engineering services include but are not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments Phase 1, 2, 3, Expert Witness, Foundation Observation Reports, Geotechnical Investigations and Rockery Design/Analysis. Geological services include but are not limited to: Debris Flow Studies, Electrical Resistivity, Fault Investigations, Geophysics, GIS, Inclinometers, Seismic Refractions, Terrain Modeling and Vibration Monitoring. Environmental services include but are not limited to: Air Permitting, Asbestos Inspections, Air Dispersion Modeling, Landfill Permitting, RACT Analysis, Ground water sampling, SPCC & SWPP Preventative Plans and UST, RCRA & CERCLA Remediation. Special Inspection services include but are not limited to: Bolting, Commercial Building Inspections, EIFS, Epoxy, Mechanical and Plumbing Inspections, Precast and Post Tension Concrete, Reinforced Concrete, Soil Nailing, Spray Applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Structural Steel, Suspended Ceilings, Tiebacks and Welding. Field Work Services include but are not limited to: Asphalt Coring, Asphalt Sampling and Placement Observation, Casting of Concrete Cylinders, Grout, Mortar and Prisms for Compression Strength, Air, Slump and Temperature, Concrete Coring, Concrete Curing, Concrete Maturity Monitoring, Concrete Mix Designs, Density Testing of Soils and Asphalt by Nuclear Method, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, Soil Sampling and Observations. Laboratory Services include but are not limited to: Asphalt, Concrete Masonry, and Soil Testing. GeoStrata has an AMRL, CCRL, UDOT and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers certified materials testing laboratory.
