- Optimed Research has been a leader in clinical research in Columbus for over 14 years. We pride ourselves in conducting meaningful research while keeping our patient as our top priority.Dr. Donald McNeil, a Board Certified Specialist in Allergy, Asthma, Immunology and Internal Medicine, founded Optimed Research LLC in 1999. Dr. McNeils private practice is located at Midwest Allergy and Asthma Associates.Dr. McNeil received his medical degree from the University of Alberta, Edmonton Canada. He completed residencies in both Clinical Immunology and Internal Medicine at Montreal General Hospital, Canada, and Research Fellowships in the Department of Rheumatology at Calgary General Hospital, Canada, and Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla California. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University and has various teaching responsibilities at Doctors Hospital, Mt. Carmel, Grant, and Riverside Methodist Hospitals in Columbus, Ohio. In the past he served as President of the Ohio Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and is the Allergy Division Chief at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
