• THE MISSION OF THE USTA FOUNDATION IS CHANGE LIVES THROUGH THE POWERFUL COMBINATION OF TENNIS AND EDUCATION. Using this formula, we help serve up dreams for under-resourced youth; individuals with disabilities; and wounded, ill and injured service members, veterans and their families. Studies have shown that youth who play tennis are healthier and less prone to risky behaviors like binge drinking and cigarette smoking. They are also less likely to be overweight or at risk for being overweight. Tennis can also have a profound impact on reintegrating veterans into their local communities and in helping adaptive athletes and those with disabilities. To ensure these groups have the assistance they require to thrive, we support programs nationwide that leverage tennis and education to help those in need. This is accomplished primarily through the National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) network and also through our efforts to assist military heroes and individuals with disabilities. We raise money to support these life-changing programs through donations as well as our Brick & Paver Program and special fundraisers held throughout the year, including the US Open Opening Night Gala and Pro-Am events, and by connecting with other philanthropic and strategic partners. Our efforts are making a difference. To date, we have awarded more than $22 million in grants and scholarships to more than 270 programs, benefiting thousands of children and adults through tennis, education and health curricula. Its the kind of difference that translates into more fulfilled and happier individuals and better, more vital communities. Your generous donations allow us to continue to assist in this great work.
