• First Mutual Corp. has been assisting the regions homeowners find affordable financing since 1952. We are a Fannie May and Freddie Mac Seller/Servicer as well as an FHA Direct Endorsement Lender. Unlike many companies today who outsource processing overseas, our processing is done in house at our office with company employees, not third parties. This helps speed the process along and allows for closings in as little as a few days with our average time from origination to closing about 13 calendar days.In addition, all underwriting is done in house. We do not send the borrowers loan out to a third party where is becomes a number in line behind many other previous requests. This helps in two ways. Once again, the timeline is expedited with underwriting completed in typically less than 24 hours. Additionally, we have control so if the borrower has some blemished credit, we can usually work around that. We can also clear a loan to close and take final conditions at the table. There are limitations to at closing conditions, but the small, sometimes perceived nitpicking things that are required by the secondary market and loan guarantors can be taken at closing.Pricing is another important factor in closing any deal. Since we are a mortgage banker, we have access to the best rates. We are not utilizing a middle man to get to the capital markets. This insures overall competitive pricings and a broad spectrum of products.
