At Yellow Scope, we make a different kind of science kit for girls: one that is both rigorous AND creative. Our mission is to encourage more girls to think of themselves as scientists and to pursue science education and jobs. We want to work toward gender parity in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. While 75% of girls report liking math and science in 4th grade, by middle school the numbers drop dramatically. Our kits are targeted to 8 - 12 year old girls, right during the time when their interest and confidence in science is most vulnerable.
