• The mission of The Humane League is to reduce animal suffering by inspiring change at all levels. We are working relentlessly to reduce animal suffering through grassroots education to change eating habits and corporate campaigns to reform farm animal treatment. This is made possible through our passionate community of committed volunteers and generous supporters.We work through an ever-expanding network of field offices across North America (including Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, DC, Denver, Mexico City, New York City, South Florida, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle) providing information and encouragement to help people make choices that will reduce animal suffering.Knowing that change is needed at all levels, we also advocate for reform at the corporate and institutional level through hard-hitting animal welfare campaigns targeting specific companies and institutions. From Starbucks to Philadelphias public school system to every major foodservice company, we achieve major victories that reduce meat consumption and spare millions of animals from a life of misery in confinement.We bring a pragmatic, objective approach in evaluating and testing everything we do to know what works best the head to balance our heart for the greatest impact for animals. Thats the purpose of Humane League Labs, where we carry out direct testing to improve our vegan advocacy and education efforts.The Humane League is a 501(c)3 and Certified Best In America by the Independent Charities of America, a designation reserved for the top 5% of non-profits nationwide based on the ICA's rigorous standards of financial efficiency.
