    • Established in 1982, Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc. has been serving the San Antonio community with inclusive and engaging programs for over 30 years. Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc. (RMI) is a charitable organization assisting adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their maximum level of independence through educational outreach, vocational and residential services. Our purpose is to provide high quality residential and vocational alternatives in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Austin and Brownsville for persons with developmental disabilities and related disabilities (organic personality disorder, mental health disabilities, seizure disorder, etc.).RMI provides direct services through our residential options including foster support, group homes and apartment living environments; two types of day programs and various vocational supports to over 130 individuals each year.
