    • Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. - Maimonides Empowerment Works is volunteer run 501(c)(3) not for profit charitable organization formed to promote entrepreneurship and careers. The organizers believe those in need can be most effectively helped by assisting them to be self sufficient. Empowerment Works has partnered with the SWFL Enterprise Center, a business incubator formed by The City of Fort Myers to be a learning laboratory for entrepreneurial enterprises and to provide assistance and support to the entrepreneur so that he or she may realize the full potential of their enterprise and of themselves as business owners and managers. Empowerment Works' programs mentor individuals looking to start a new career or open their own business. All programs are run from their office at the SWFL Enterprise Center. The IRS has recognized Empowerment Works as a tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
