    • CBW Automation was co-founded in 1970 by David Carson, Phil Berger, and Jon Weekly in Lawrence, Kansas. The first product development was a Lid System to handle Cool Whip lids, followed by several container systems that handled petri dishes and other shallow containers.In 1989 Dave Carson moved CBW Automations operations to Fort Collins, Colorado. While they continued their previously successful systems, CBW Automation also developed the high speed side-entry and top-entry robotic systems which have become the Gold Standard of the industry.As a fully integrated manufacturing facility, from custom engineering to final installations, CBW Automation is an all inclusive equipment manufacturer customized to fit the unique applications that customers demand.
