The cornerstone device of LIMBS is a polycentric knee joint which can be maintained using locally available materials and simple tools in the developing world.LIMBS currently has its international headquarters in El Paso Texas. Partner organizations from the academe and industry from several disciplines contribute to the LIMBS team in research and development and the international implementation of its prosthetic technology. However, LIMBS has its own independent staff, which includes Engineers, Prosthetists, and other professionals. The fusion of student work and professional expertise, while delivering prosthetic devices that meet professional and international standards, is truly unique.
