- Long recognized as one of metropolitan Chicagos top classical ensembles, Music of the Baroques professional chorus and orchestra specializes in the performance of eighteenth-century works by composers which include Monteverdi, Frescobaldi, Corelli, Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Couperin, Lully, Charpentier, Rameau, Schutz, Telemann, Handel and Bach, PurcellLead by Jane Glover, acclaimed conductor and the ensembles music director, Music of the Baroque performs in the intimate settings of neighborhood churches chosen for their architectural interest and acoustic excellence, as well as the Harris Theater in downtown Chicagos Millennium Park.
