• The Healing NET Foundation's mission is to impact NET patient care through the education and support of physicians and health care professionals nationwide, and through other programs that inform and connect patients. We advocate for the right treatment, from the right team, at the right time. The Healing NET Foundation's Board of Directors is made up of survivors, caregivers, physicians, and business professionals across the United States who have an interest in shifting the paradigm of NET care to the highest level possible. We also work with other patient advocacy groups to inform and educate about this rare disease. Due to a lack of awareness about neuroendocrine cancer among primary physicians, and even oncologists and other disease specialists, many patients are undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or do not receive the latest treatments available. in addition, there is a need for funding so that those physicians who have expertise in treating NET patients can have access to the latest technologies, which are more prevalent in European countries. The Healing NET Foundation is focused on filling that niche by funding physician education, empowering patients to advocate for better patient care, and funding programs that support both.
