- Wounded Heroes of America, formerly known as The 9-11HelpAmerica Foundation, is an organization dedicated to helping our Wounded Heroes from Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) - Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan.From our beginning in October 2001, we have had a vision and a mission of not just helping the families of our Fallen Heroes and Our Wounded and their families but to enlist as many members of our community as possible, in essence to be a vehicle for them to help our Heroes. Over the last six years, we have concentrated in helping our Wounded Warriors and so we decided to change the name of our organization to Wounded Heroes of America, a name closer to our current mission.
