• Bern Builders & Realty   was established in 1960 by Chicago real estate developer Bernard Grizaffi.  Functioning as a fully integrated real estate development company, they successfully developed numerous residential and commercial projects throughout the Chicago area.  The company self-performed all of its development duties including, planning/architectural, general contracting/construction, sales and marketing, and building management.  During his accomplished career, Mr. Grizaffis companies were responsible for the development of hundreds of residential units, including single family homes, condominium buildings and townhouse developments, as well as over 1 million square feet of commercial development space.    Subsequent to Mr. Grizaffis premature passing in 1989, Bern Builders & Realty enter into a restructuring phase that would produce Bern Realty, LLC as it exists today.  Presently the firm is led Sherree Grizaffi-Krisco and Drew B. Krisco, Mr. Grizaffis daughter and Grandson.  Ms. Krisco and her son Drew direct and oversee the asset-management of more than a dozen commercial-retail/office properties in the Bern portfolio.  Through their stewardship, the company remains committed to preserving the value created, while progressively evaluating future redevelopment opportunities in which an enhanced value can be realized for its partners and the communities they have parented with.
