Grants are awarded to the organizations, programs and projects that foster the needs of the community and fall within four primary areas of giving. These areas are: education, basic needs & independence, arts & culture, and civic enhancement. The Foundation was founded by Galen and Ruth Roush in 1967. Galen was the co-founder of Roadway Express, one of the nation's largest trucking companies.
