- The SNGA is the governing body for amateur golf in the region and serves as the local liaison for the United States Golf Association. It is a 501(c)(4) non profit membership organization currently representing more than 10,000 avid amateur golfers in Southern Nevada. Its role is to represent the industry and avid golf consumers. We have oversight responsibilities of the USGA Handicap System, we are responsible for rating & measuring courses in accordance with the USGA Course Rating System. We also conduct qualifiers for USGA National Championships.The SNGA has an extensive tournament schedule including state & regional championships, 1-day fun events and also administers the Las Vegas World Amateur Championship.
