• Among Friends, LLC, is the creation of two friends (and moms), who loved baking, loved their children and were looking for a better way to make mouthwatering cookies. Vowing to make cookies with memorable tastes and textures, the pair knew firsthand about the perils of healthy cookies that taste like the cardboard in which they are packaged. We worked tirelessly and finally found samples that our combined six kids ate at lightning speed and needless to say, we remained mum on the benefits of flax and whole grains. We now have nine types of mixes in our product portfolio.Founded in 2006, our goal is simple: we want to help people fill their kitchens with fresh-from-the-oven baked goods made from the best ingredients. Our mixes make baking easy for people on those days when treats from scratch are impractical or well nigh impossible. We all have those days. Our name tells it all. Each of our baking mixes is handcrafted for friends and named for someone we love, a friend or family member.In addition to being a good source of whole grains, we also feel it is important be gluten-free and many of Among Friends mixes (five to be exact) have GFCO certification. We believe that Among Friends produces the best tasting cookies, bars and crisps in the healthy snack and gluten-free category bar none. Among Friends uses only premium non-GMO ingredients and healthy whole grains in our mixes. We use higher quality, nutritionally sound power ingredients and whole grains. Our mixes are free of the bad stuff. No white flour or starches ever and they are higher in protein and whole grain fiber and lower in fat and sugar. Among Friends was selected as a 2014 Expo West Top 6 Gluten Free Find and received accolades from Martha Stewart, Prevention Magazine, Runners World and more.We are sold in 1,500 stores nationwide including major grocery chains such as Costco, Whole Foods, Kings, Albertsons and Meijer as well as specialty health and nutrition stores.
