Center For Asia Leadership Initiatives

Description

• The Center for Asia Leadership Initiatives (CALI) is a group of research centers that addresses social, political, and economic problems and needs in Asia by providing education, consulting, publishing, and capacity building initiatives. The birth of the organization was sparked by the idea to bridge the vast amount of talent and educational resources at Harvard University to local grassroots organizations in Asia who are working to address the leadership challenges in their communities. CALIâs mission is to assist and empower individuals, organizations, and governmental bodies to play a more active and meaningful leadership role in their communities. We began our group with the belief that business can exist for the purpose of impacting society and can play effective roles in which to help it face its challenges. We recognize that, in the midst of a global power shift to Asia, countries in the region increasingly face complex political, economic, and social challenges that will transform their society for good or ill. We seek to help individuals and organizations in this region confront these challenges and help promote prospects for democratic, thriving, and just, modern societies. We intend to expand our services throughout Asia by helping organizations actively engage their communities and helping equip societies with the brightest people and actionable insights. lang: en_US
