• Our company began in 1988, the year Elsa Wulff bought a tiny farm store on a hill above Mud Bay, outside of Olympia. Today, there are 34 Mud Bay stores in Washington and Oregon. Mud Bay is one of the 20 largest pet retailers in North America, and it is the Pacific Northwests largest retailer focused on healthy, natural nutrition for dogs and cats. But for all our growth, were still owned and operated by family and friends and still doing the same thing: helping owners feed healthy food to their animals. At the heart of Mud Bay are over 250 retail staff whose primary focus is helping people choose the dog and cat foods best suited to their animals out of a selection of more than 695 healthy dry, canned and frozen formulas.
