- North Harbor Community Church was started in 2005 with a launch team of about 20 people looking to start a contemporary Christian faith community in the Topsham, Maine area where people who do not normally attend church (for various reasons, including lack of interest or negative experiences in the past) would feel comfortable attending. North Harbor's mission is to lead people toward Christ-likeness because we want to create a community of influencers who seek to both know and be transformed by God. We have grown to an attendance of over 120 people, about 40% of whom are ministry partners, participating in ministry tasks throughout the week and sharing in the joy and responsibility of reaching out to the region of mid-coast Maine.North Harbor has a vibrant weekly service characterized by modern music, casual attire, and topical teaching on Sunday mornings at 10 am at the Orion Performing Arts Center in Topsham. The Harbor is blessed to have a thriving children's ministry called Kids' Cove, which currently serves ages birth-6th grade and plans to launch a teen ministry called Floodgate in the 2011-2012 school year.
