    Description

    • The GriefCare Place opened its doors in June of 1997 and has served over 10,000 individuals grieving the death of a loved one. We offer a safe place where those grieving the death of a loved one (children, teens, adults) can find support, education, understanding, and a caring place to heal. The center serves individuals with a wide variety of group programs / workshops and offers a home-like atmosphere and is a non-denominational faith based organization where those of strong faith or those of none can come comfortably. The GriefCare Place educates participants about grief and provides caring volunteers who walk alongside and companion them during the grieving/healing process. The GriefCare Place charges no fees for group programs, a minimal charge for one-on-one counseling by a licensed, professional clinician. We are funded entirely by fundraising events, donations, and memorial gifts. We have an endowment fund established for bequests or estate planned gifts.Since it is a charitable, non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible under IRS section 501(c)(3). Financial support is a continuous need, greatly appreciated, and is responsibly spent.
