• 23ABC News is a station dedicated to developing next generation talent. KERO manages this process through a Journalism Career Program partnership with Arizona State University. Program participants begin their careers at KERO under the mentorship of the director of new media and news director. Following completion of the one-year program, participants are well prepared to compete for future roles in larger markets in the parent company, E.W. Scripps.Located in the San Joaquin Valley of California, Bakersfield sits on the southern end of the Central Valley within Kern County.
