• St. Thomas School (STS) is a private, non-sectarian Preschool through 8th Grade school designed to meet the needs of high performing, motivated learners and provide a cognitively challenging, engaging environment. Founded in 1951, STS has a proud tradition of academic excellence and a commitment to nurturing each childs character and spirit. In 2013, Microsoft invited STS to become 1 of 33 World Tour Schools for their Innovative Schools program. We routinely host delegations of government and education leaders from around the world, who want to experience first hand our relating to the 1:1 tablet PC program, physical learning environment, and project-based learning.As of August 2008, our new state-of-the art building is LEED® Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. STS is the first school to receive accreditation under the LEED for Schools program in Washington, second to receive accreditation under the LEED for Schools program in the country, and one of only 50 currently LEED Gold accredited projects in the entire state of Washington.
