Since 1995, the office has designed and managed construction of public spaces, buildings, renovations, and installations. During that time the office has cultivated a team of complementary professionals devoted to building great architecture within the constraints of practical realities.The office has developed a reputation for its ability to maintain a unique and inventive design standard on complex projects, both public and private. The design process always starts with an analysis of the clients project aspirations, history and culture, program, site, budget and schedule.Drawing on a number of early projects, Sage and Coombe Architects embraced the potential of graphic design in architecture. This has been particularly evident where cost and conditions cannot afford more complex architectural solutions. The office has also championed sustainable design and these strategies are folded into the design process at the earliest stages of work. The majority of the staff is LEED-accredited as are the two principals. Sage and Coombes favorite color is green.
