• At AXIS, we train athletes of all ages ranging from grade school all the way up to the professional level. Our team training environment builds confidence and community for our athletes while still developing their individual and specific goals. Our goal is to develop the athlete to the best of his or her abilities by using a structured assessment process. This process borrows assessment protocols from Functional Movement Systems (FMS/SFMA), Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) and the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). By implementing these assessment protocols for each athlete, we can quickly and efficiently identify muscle asymmetry and/or dysfunction in fundamental movement patterns. We then put each athlete through a performance evaluation, which allows us to get a baseline of where each athletes strength, speed, agility and mobility lie. Lastly, each of our athletes goes through a body comp analysis. This analysis measures standing height, seated height, body weight, body fat percentage, lean body mass and segmented body circumference. The purpose of the assessment process is to first analyze the physical needs of the athlete before looking at the demands of their given sport. Once the needs have been discovered, we customize a program that is tailor-made to the development of each athlete where strength, speed, agility, and mobility are combined with corrective exercise strategies to safely excel the athlete to their true potential.
