• The Stupski Foundation is a private operating foundation focused on transforming our public education system so that all students are prepared for college, career and meaningful lives.Larry and Joyce Stupski created the foundation based on their belief that quality education is the most significant factor in transforming the lives of children and overcoming the barriers of poverty and inequity.Since 1996, the foundation has worked with more than 30 school districts around the country through a variety of programs and research initiatives. Through this work, we saw that the current public education system, created over a century ago, has outlived its relevance. We also gained insight into the political and regulatory barriers that block innovation in public education.Consequently, the Stupski Foundation is now committed to transforming the public education system. Our goal is to design a new system that is learner-centered, provides personalized learning rather than mass instruction, and aims for consistently high outcomes for all students regardless of their ethnicity or economic status.The foundation develops and implements its program work in collaboration with partner organizations that share the vision and ability to advance the transformation of public education systems at school, district and state levels. As an operating foundation, we do not make grants or accept grant proposals.
