• MIT ALUMS INVESTING TOGETHER Castor Ventures gives MIT alumni the chance to invest in ventures led by MIT alums. We are private, for-profit, and not affiliated with MIT, but are also pleased to support the MIT entrepreneurial community. Deals are sourced from across the MIT network, then vetted, selected, and tracked by our experienced Investment Committee. Castor Ventures builds on MITs rich history of producing alumni who create dynamic ventures. The goals of Castor Ventures are to back promising MIT-alumni led businesses, provide investors with an opportunity to invest money in a key asset diversified among multiple ventures, enable investors to connect with smart businesspeople and cutting-edge companies, and support the entrepreneurial ecosystem of MIT. Its an experience with many levels of value to many participants. Castor Ventures was founded in 2016 by Managing Partner Alain Hanover (MIT 70). Its Investment Committee and investors includes experienced investors and entrepreneurs from around the country and across multiple generations. Castor is beaver in Latin, French, and Spanish, and also a very bright star.
