• Tech Enterprises fosters and supports a guild of technology entrepreneurs. We incubate and launch small-to-medium sized tech sector businesses. Our mission is improving Maines economically deteriorated textile and lumber mill towns on their transition to becoming cities by supplying local higher-wage employment opportunities as well as attracting international revenue streams. What we offer goes well beyond mere incubator and seeks to leverage a number of activities which tap the wisdom of the crowds in order to improve the likelihood of successful launches. We aim to attract a network of experienced business-persons and motivated financiers to help catalyze Maines capacity to support a competitive bleeding-edge tech industry. We borrow from practices that are working elsewhere: hands-on apprenticeship systems, local economic development in technology manufacturing and services, and grass-roots community oriented engagement; but, our secret sauce is the point system. Founded in 2010 as an open-source R&D firm.2015 Tech Enterprises pivoted to an exclusive guild-managed distributed incubator/hackerspace whos members collectively launch tech businesses.2016 Tech Enterprises launched the GuildSkrypt-alpha blockchain, took part in The DAO, and actively participated in the foundation of Divvy DAO.2017 We are capacity building as we research legal structures and begin applying custom 'Infrastructure as Code' solutions particularly in the area of blockchain contracts, such as tokens, for use in verifying privileges in real-world situations. (i.e. Securities Issuance, Boardroom Voting, Kickstarter).
