• Akeso is developing an occupational medicine clinic group improving injured worker outcomes through a focus on the patient and a commitment to better partnership with the payer. We believe the key to fixing the workers compensation system is a dedicated group of physicians committed to the right care, without financial incentives for over treating injured workers, and a clinical organization that works more closely with the insurance carrier and employer to make sure that the right care is delivered in a more timely manner with lower friction costs to all parties. Work comp should only be about the patient - understanding what is truly needed to maximize their outcomes and working together to make sure the needed care is delivered in a quality setting by doctors who are motivated to get the injured workers back to work. We are bringing together experts from all sides of workers comp and casualty insurance to build an organization truly different that will remove doctor / insurance conflict and build a new level of trust needed to change how our industry partners to address the needs of injured workers. We are well funded, and actively acquiring occupational medicine clinics. We are looking for doctors and practices that are dedicated to reducing the total cost of workers compensation by taking better care of the patient and getting them back to function faster and more efficiently.
