• The LMB is comprised of a group of community members and child-serving agency representatives who bring their knowledge and experience together to work to strengthen local services for children and families. An LMB adds value to local planning and decision making by assessing the needs of its community and, in collaboration with service providers, policy makers, community leaders and others, make sure that children and families get the services and supports they need. Here are the programs we currently fund: - Healthy Families Home-Visiting - Evening School Program (Public Schools) - Truancy Diversion Case Manager (Public Schools) - Fiddlesticks! Program (National Music Festival) - Occupational Therapy Program (Radcliffe Creek School) - One Circle (Women In Need, Inc.) - Kent County Youth Gay Straight Alliance (PFLAG) - Kent County Mentoring Kick-Off (Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake - Kent County Diversion Program (Kent Youth) - Family Navigation - School & Family Mediation (Community Mediation Upper Shore) - Child Care Provider Resources (Chesapeake College) Other initiatives we support: - Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs - Care Coordination - Kent County Early Childhood Advisory Council - Judy Center Partnership - Local Care Team - Regional Resource Development - Trauma Training & Treatment Projects
