• Established in 1992 by a team led by Sister Mary Alice Murphy, CARE Housing develops and manages affordable housing communities that provide supportive services to strengthen and empower families, and to build community. Since that time, CARE has grown in the Fort Collins community with a mission to advocate for and provide affordable housing to low-income working families.CARE is a unique partnership of public, private and religious sponsorship with expertise in housing finance, development, property management, and social service. Through these collaborative partnerships, CARE has successfully developed six affordable housing communities in Fort Collins and one in Windsor.CARE is dedicated to providing our residents with quality, safe affordable housing. Each development has been uniquely designed to be incorporated into their surrounding neighborhood and serves as a model for affordable housing.For nearly 20 years, our communities have provided working families the opportunity to allocate a reasonable portion of their income toward housing and apply remaining income for the betterment of their families and future.
