• The Talisman is the official yearbook of Western Kentucky University and was founded in 1924. Since then the Talisman has been striving to tell the story of each unique year here at WKU, for students, staff, and community members alike.The Talisman breaks through the mold of a traditional yearbook and strives to capture the unique essence of the year through award-winning photography combined with equally impressive written stories and design. Recently, the Talisman staff has also worked to develop a companion iPad app so that users will also be able to access the book from tablet computers. This is just one of the ways the Talisman is working to stay at the forefront of yearbook innovation.The student-run publication is looked to as a model by many universities, and is consistently given high praise and awards at the national level.
