The Jobs Partnership Of Florida

Description

• Founded in 1999, The Jobs Partnership of Florida is a faith-based, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to transforming the lives of the chronically underemployed by empowering, encouraging and elevating their workplace attitudes, as well as their ability to engage with and reward viable employers. Because we believe that a good job (30+ hours per week and benefits) is the most strategic solution to rising above poverty, we partner with local churches and businesses and work in concert with community agency partners to providea holistic solution to the problem of chronic underemployment. Through their welcomed support, we achieve our mission to inspire and equip people for success at life and work. The centerpiece of The Jobs Partnership, Life & Work is a 12-week job training program that equips those who are stalled in their life or job, or both, with decision-making skills that will help them get ahead. Local churches work together and mobilize their congregations to offer Life & Work in targeted low-income neighborhoods, building upon the assets of the people and the community. Our growing network of church, business and community agency partnerships is foundational to the success of Life & Work. Our ability to connect existing resources for the benefit of our students creates a win-win for all the stakeholders in the process.
