• Pinebrook Family Services and Family Answers merged in October 2014 to form Pinebrook Family Answers. On July 1, 2015 The PROGRAM for Women and Families officially merged with Pinebrook Family Answers to form the agencys forensic services department. Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals and families across generations by providing a continuum of high-quality programs that promote self-sufficiency, nurture healthy children and strong families, support seniors, advocate for change, and strengthen communities. Today, Pinebrook Family Answers' services now include: Behavioral Health Services :encompasses outpatient psychiatric and counseling services offered at three Lehigh Valley locations, as well as a variety of in-home treatment services Foster Care/Kinship Care/Placement Services Adoption Services, PbFA is an affiliate of the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN). Other Community-based Services: truancy-reduction programs; Transportation and Family Visitation Program, a service that connects children in out-of-home placement with their biological/legal families; Shape, a family preservation program that utilizes case management; Compeer, a program that matches volunteer mentors with adults who live with a chronic, long-term mental illness; Ways to Work, a financial literacy and case management program that assists working parents get low interest car loans; and Warmline, an anonymous phone service that provides callers a friend to talk to. Forensic Services : includes one of the only Transitional Residences in the Lehigh Valley for homeless women who have been in the criminal justice system or who are at risk of such involvement and their children; ALPHA program, provides teens on probation with academic, behavioral, and job readiness services designed to prepare them to enter the workforce and succeed in life; and Family Services, parenting classes for prisoners, support groups, and supervised visits.
