Mona Foundation

Description

• Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world --Nelson Mandela Mona Foundation believes that universal education and gender equality are the cornerstones for the eradication of poverty, and that raising the status of women in the US and abroad is key to community development. Our goal is to eliminate global poverty and support community-led transformation such that no child ever goes to bed hungry, is lost to preventable diseases, or is deprived of the gift of education due to a lack of resources. We pursue these principles by offering support to grassroots educational initiatives in many countries around the globe. Over the last 17 years, Mona Foundation has awarded more than $8 million to 35 initiatives in 18 countries. In 2016 alone we are reaching 150,000 kids and families through our educational initiatives in Haiti, India, Panama, China, Brazil, Vietnam, Mongolia, and United States. This is ground breaking and so exciting for us. And yet, we want to do more.We believe that everyone can become an active participant in achieving universal education for all. Join Mona Foundation today, and contribute to a worldwide network of education initiatives.
