Company History: In the late 1970's, the Browers set out to fulfill their dream. Originally from the East Coast, they had a passion for wine and admired classic hospitality. They saw potential in a relatively undiscovered industry then became pioneers of the Monterey County wine industry. In 1982 the Browers started Great American Wineries in which they built their first Estate, Château Julien Wine Estate located in Carmel Valley, California.
