Appdummy

Description

• Here at Appdummy, we would like to contribute to developers and designers of mobile applications around the globe. We hope that by providing a platform of support, we can contribute to the publication, consultation, and marketing needs of novice to professional app developers and designers; and by this, bridging the gap between catalogs of simple, functional apps to mass-audiences searching for them. Appdummy began as a project in 2011 as an application for Windows-based users. The application allowed users to download massive numbers of videos from YouTube, replace each video's audio with a song, and re-upload the video back to YouTube. The application worked as a marketing scheme for many indie musicians, by increasing their audience reach with a few clicks of a button, and most importantly, for free. It helped bring attention to the new wave of marketing that has come as a result of the transition to the digital age of music. Stemming from the background of marketing, we learned which techniques worked and which didn't. We learned the importance of knowing your customers, as well as you know your code. We learned the importance of knowing what platforms to build for; how to master cost vs. profit; researching your competition. We are Appdummy, because we want to focus on expanding your audience, your success, and your app catalog. By publishing with us, you can spend less time filling out forms, administrating, and marketing your apps, and spend more time developing them.
