- Make School is building a replacement for the computer science degree. This summer we're teaching 500+ students ages 13+ how to build iOS apps across SF, Sunnyvale, Los Angeles, NYC, Tokyo, Taipai, Singapore and Hong Kong. We're launching our second Product Academy cohort in September 2016. The Product Academy is a 2-year college alternative where students learn mobile and web development, computer science theory, AI, iOT and development focused career skills. The year culminates with an internship at a tech startup. Our curriculum has been used to teach courses at 3 of the top 4 universities for computer engineering. Over 500 students have taken our in-person courses and over a million students have used our online tutorials. We were founded in 2012 and are funded by Y Combinator, Kapor Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Alexis Ohanian, Tim Draper and more.
