- DeafPhoenix is a Deaf statewide anti-violence agency advocating for safe and healthy Deaf communities in Ohio. Our work stems from Deaf-centered perspective in honoring intersectionalities within Deaf communities. From an empowerment philosophy, we support survivors/co-survivors rights to safety, justice, healing, restoration, and restitution. Our specialized Deaf team is trained in advocacy, mental health, and counseling with degrees, certifications and licensures with average of 25 years of experience. Our customized advocacy services are rooted in the belief that a survivor is the EXPERT in deciding whats best for their safety. DeafPhoenix offers comprehensive and culturally empowering approach to crime victimization such as Child Abuse and Neglect Bullying and Cyberbullying Teen Dating Violence Intimate Partner, Domestic, and Family Violence Sexual Assault, Rape, and Sexual Violence (including sexual harassment) Stalking Hate crimes including Bias Violence Identity Theft and Fraud Elder Abuse Other Crimes
