- Joglo brings to the greater Puget Sound region the artistry and craftsmanship of the Indonesian archipelago in a 4,500 sf gallery and showroom designed to embrace the imagination. The Balinese philosophy of blurring boundaries between the outside and the inside, resonate in home and garden furniture, antiques, and architectural appointments that are painstakingly crafted yet suitably organic in appearance. Furniture is amply scaled and aesthetically raw, and shown illuminated by garden lanterns of wood, terracotta, bronze and coconut palms. Stone carvers in Java have created the one-of-a-kind sinks, the floor and wall tiles, and whimsical garden sculpture harmonious to the textiles and gift items of sustainable fibers handcrafted in Timor, Sumba and Sumatra. Village art and ancient relics of Indonesia's Hindu, Buddhist and animistic past provide those discovered treasures that tantalize the collector in us all.
