- Rosara Torrisi founded LIIST in 2012 after recognizing that Long Island had a great need for expert sexologists, therapists and educators. In order to fill this need, Rosara Torrisi has expanded her private practice to the Long Island Institute of Sex Therapy, which aims to provide such care. The guiding mission of LIIST is to provide exceptional quality therapeutic and educational services to those in our community. At LIIST, we continue to believe that dedicating time to coordinating allied services is an essential component of our work as expert sexologists. As therapists and educators, we remain up to date with sexological, educational and therapeutic literature and training, and seek connections with other healthcare providers in the community. LIIST is a therapeutic and educational company, focusing specifically on sexuality for our Long Island community. LIIST is an LGBT+ affirmative, poly inclusive, and kink-aware company.
