Our signature product, Novacite®, is a platy microcrystalline quartz derived from the Ouachita Mountains surrounding Hot Springs, AR.Originally established in 1947, Malvern Minerals Co. has evolved over the years from providing quartz for abrasive sand blasting towards significant use as a functional filler for high performance coatings. Additional industries served include: special purpose, marine and heavy-duty primer coatings, cast bushings & insulators for power transformers, highly filled silicone rubber applications and many other polymers that require a higher-level of barrier properties for chemical resistance and weathering. Malvern Minerals Co. is committed to reliability in product standards and delivery. We strive for niche applications. Our goal is to be the premier supplier of barrier resistant functional fillers. Our layered quartz along with our silane coupling services (aka Kups) offer value added mechanical properties that can be seen on water towers, petrochemical storage tanks, wastewater and secondary containment structures.Above all, we value our customers and actively listen to their concerns while continuously reinvesting in production and maintenance.
