• Reaching U promotes initiatives and strengthens organizations that offer educational opportunities so that all Uruguayans living in poverty can develop their full potential.Education is undergoing a deep crisis, which particularly affects children and teenagers living in poverty. This seriously threatens their possibilities of personal achievement and development as well as the growth potential of the country. Inequality in the Uruguayan education is rising, making it more difficult for these children and teenagers to receive a quality education.Through a formal and very demanding research and selection process, we work to identify those organizations that manage projects with deep potential impact, not only on education conditions of the most vulnerable children and teenagers, but also on their families and communities.Today we commit ourselves to doing our best to fight that inequality and to achieve an integrating education, so that one day all Uruguayans in that situation are able to develop their full potential, which will benefit society as a whole.We have formal working groups in New York, Washington DC, Miami, Los Angeles, Madrid and Montevideo, as well as members and volunteers working and sending their support from many other cities.
