- Livewire is the University of East Anglias student radio station. The station first came to the airwaves in 1990 after being officially launched by the legendary disc jockey John Peel and has been broadcasting from Union House at the heart of the Union of UEA Students ever since, becoming one of the UKs longest running student radio stations.The station is run solely by student volunteers with teams taking care of all aspects of the day-to-day running of a radio station; from presenting to technical.With live daytime shows from 9am until 6pm and specialist shows thereafter the station output is varied but prides itself particularly in constantly championing new and upcoming music.Listeners can tune in online via the Online Console on our website, or on 1350AM if you are in the Norwich area.
