• International Medical Alliance of Tennessee was founded in the year 2000 with the goal of developing a volunteer medical relief organization to treat both chronic and infectious disease. Since that time we have brought medical care to more than 130,000 people. Through the work and generosity of our volunteers and donors IMA has become a growing force in the fight to bring simple basic care to those in need. We have worked in Central and South America, the Caribbean, Africa and in disaster stricken areas of the U.S. Our most recent focus internationally has been Kenya, the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Our domestic work in the aftermath of Katrina has been in Long Beach, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana. IMA provides access to medical care in underserved and vulnerable communities around the world through short -term medical mission trips where volunteers give their time and services for the medical relief of the developing world.
