• The Expediting Co., Inc. was started in 1989 by Bill Knight. We began in late 1989 with one customer. We currently have over 500 active customers, in a number of different vertical fields. We expanded our services and customer base slowly, ensuring we could provide the highest quality service in the industry. We opened an office in Cincinnati, OH in 1995 and expanded that service area to Lexington, KY in 1999. In 2000, we opened offices in Richmond, VA and Norfolk, VA. We offer full service airfreight pickup and delivery service in each of these cities. We opened a sales and service office in Chicago in 2002. In 2004 we opened an office in Columbus, OH and in 2006 we opened in Indianapolis, IN. In 2010 we opened an office in Charlottesville, VA. We currently offer a scheduled, LTL line haul service between Chicago, Cincinnati, Lexington, Dayton and Columbus. We also operate a scheduled LTL line haul service between Richmond, Norfolk and Charlottesville, VA. We opened in Atlanta, GA in 2012.We also offer expedited door-to-door exclusive use service utilizing cargo vans, straight trucks and tractor-trailers. We have the ability to handle surface expedites in the lower forty-eight states and Ontario, Canada.The Expediting Co. is a bonded carrier and provide warehousing in our bonded facilities in Atlanta, Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, Richmond and Norfolk. Our facilities all meet TSA security requirements. Our drivers are all carefully screened and trained. Each of our drivers is continually trained in the areas of safety and Security. Our DOT safety rating is satisfactory.
