• Essential Pharmaceuticals, LLC was established in 2006 with the distribution rights to Custodiol® HTK organ preservation solution. Essential's Sales and Marketing team grew Custodiol in the U.S. to be one of the top two organ preservation solution and is the only preservation solution approved by the FDA for heart transplant. Essential continues to grow Custodiol and is seeking currently new indications at the FDA. Looking to further grow the company, Essential explored new medical treatments in the area of transplant surgery, looking to capitalize on our years of support and learning with the surgeons and medical personnel.Essentials search into how better preserve organs led it to start looking at how to preserve the cells of the organs. With the leadership of Essentials Chief Science Officer, this led to the Ess line of products. After three years of development, two new products have been successfully launched with much excitement.Cell-Ess® For Bio-pharma - Cell-Ess works across different cell/media platforms by boosting the cells ability to make membranes. This results in higher protein yields (over 25%) from fewer cells and manufacturing efficiencies including consistent runs batch to batch, less downstream purification, fewer production runs and lower costs. For Basic Research: Cell-Ess® is a serum free, totally synthetic serum replacement used to grow cells Clin-Ess® An animal component free medium that can preserve tissue samples for study and diagnostic testing at cold or frozen temperatures. Each of these products provides medical researchers and manufacturers new tools to bring control, performance, and convenience that they do not have with the current offerings. With an eye towards the future, Essential supports the preservation and growth of human systems. From the cell to the entire organ, we look to advance medical treatments and the research that creates new medical treatments.
