- The Live Music Project is a hub for the 200+ orchestras, chamber ensembles, choirs, and music schools in the Seattle area. Some have web sites, some don't; the LMP gives them a centralized presence, helping them get the word out about their concerts and making it easier for listeners to discover the wide variety of upcoming performances. An important part of this discovery process is making it easier to find AND experience classical music. Family-friendly concerts enable parents with young children to avoid babysitter fees and share the experience with their kids, so we highlight those on the site. Free concerts (like student recitals and masterclasses) are a low-risk way for people to dip into the scene and figure out if they like it, so we post as many of those as possible.The Live Music Project serves Seattle, Burien, Renton, Federal Way, Kirkland, Redmond, and Shoreline (among others), and cities farther north (Everett, Bellingham) and south (Tacoma). Our site, www.livemusicproject.org, launched in April 2014.The Live Music Project is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
